It is hard to believe in less than a week 2015 will be history. The year has flown by. 2015 was an interesting year for me, to say the least. In some ways I’m glad to see it go. So much has happened over the past year. There are many things that I can’t forget…some will forever be etched in my memory. Others, I’m ready to put behind me and completely forget about them. I experienced some of the happiest moments I can remember in a long, long time in 2015. Yet, I also had some of my hardest, saddest moments as well. It was such a mixed bag of emotional ups and downs. But now it is over, so I say out with the old!
I typically approach a new year with a positive outlook. This year, however, as 2016 looms in the near future, I approach it with mixed feelings. I do have a positive outlook for the year ahead, but I also approach it with some trepidation. I’m hopeful that some things will be different, but only time will tell.
I don’t make resolutions. I’ll typically set some goals, and I’m doing that. Honestly, though, I just really have a list…some goals…some things I want to do…some experiences I hope to have in the new year. The next post I share with you will happen in 2016 and I will share some of these items. For now, let me share this…
Last week I saw this thing on Facebook where you enter your name and predictions for 2016 are made for you. Now, I certainly put no stock in this, but I decided to do it just for fun. Here is the list that was generated for me.
- World travel
- A toned body
Let’s see…extra money would be great! God knows I could use some. Who couldn’t, right? Of course, with enough money travel (even world travel) is possible. A toned body…at my age? I’m doing my part to help with that, so I guess that one is possible. And love? Well, let’s just say my wounded heart has sort of given up on love. Anyway, that was just for fun. Who knows? Maybe 2016 will bring me some or all of these. I’ll just have to wait and see.
So, the next time I post it will be a new year. I’ll share some of my goals and hopes for the upcoming year. Regardless of whether any of these are achieved, I will make the most of the year. I hope you do the same!
