November Goal

Today is November 1. A new month begins, and with that a new personal goal for me. Achieving this goal will not be easy, as I am always pulled in so many directions. My time is limited, but I am determined. So, what is this November goal?


My November goal is a running total of 50 miles. For some, this would be easy. But, for me it is a bit of a challenge as I’ve only been running for a short time. Still, I have impressed myself with the distance I’ve run since I started back in May. I know it won’t be easy to always find the time – I’m already a day behind as I spent most of today in bed sick. But, I am determined! I’m registered for a 5K on Thanksgiving morning, so that alone motivates me to train. I just need to carve out the time and make it happen.

So, I plan to use this blog as a way of chronicling my progress. Hopefully by writing about it, and by making it public, it will hold me accountable and motivate me to run on the days when I really don’t want to. Can I achieve the goal of 50 miles in just 30 (well, actually 29) days? I think so, and I look forward to the challenge!
