My first choice here would be a good, long hug. Unfortunately there isn’t always someone there to offer that. So, my “go to”, and more reliable, feel good source is…MUSIC!
I love music. People ask me what kind of music I listen to, and I just have to laugh. Really, what don’t I listen to? I like to say it like this…
The style of music I listen to varies depending on my current mood. But, anytime I need to feel better, music has a way of doing that. I can be having the worst day, but then I hear the right song and things change. Music has that kind of power. It is good for the soul.
Music helps me relax when I’m stressed. It can calm me when I’m anxious. It even helps me vent when I’m really angry. When I run, I always have music playing. That combination is the best therapy!
