Praising God Through Music

The photo above is the music for one of the songs the orchestra will play tomorrow at my church. I chose it for today’s Photo-a-Day selection because I wanted to share my love for praising God through music. As a member of the orchestra, playing on specific Sunday mornings is my spiritual act of worship. It is my way of serving in the worship ministry of our church. Plus, I enjoy playing so much!

My favorite Psalm is Psalm 150, which reads:

1 Hallelujah!

Praise God in His sanctuary.

Praise Him in His mighty heavens.

2 Praise Him for His powerful acts;

praise Him for His abundant greatness.

3 Praise Him with trumpet blast;

praise Him with harp and lyre.

4 Praise Him with tambourine and dance;

praise Him with flute and strings.

5 Praise Him with resounding cymbals;

praise Him with clashing cymbals.

6 Let everything that breathes praise the LORD.

Hallelujah!

Whenever the orchestra plays in the worship service I think of this Psalm. We are using our talents and instruments to praise the Lord. Hallelujah!
