Remembering Mom

Mother’s Day is a difficult holiday for me. This year will be the fourth since my mom passed away. I really miss her, especially on Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day 2007 was the last I got to spend with her. She traveled to our house to spend the weekend here, and I’m so glad I had that time. I didn’t know then that it would be the last, so I’m thankful she was able to be here.

Since I no longer have my mom with me, I wanted to write a post here as something of a tribute to her. She was a very special lady, and I’m using this outlet to honor her this Mother’s Day weekend. I’m proud to be her son and am so thankful for all the sacrifices she made for me and my sister. We were very lucky to have her as our mom. So, in honor of an amazing woman and a wonderful mother…Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, Emily!

To my readers out there: If you are fortunate enough to still have your mother with you, please make sure you take the time to visit and/or call often. You owe much to your mother, and you never know how long you have. Cherish every moment.
