Continuing Down the Path

Yesterday marked 3 weeks since I submitted my 2-week notice at my old job. I have now been unemployed for a week and am searching for a new career. I’ve been a little frustrated because no good leads have appeared yet, but I’m keeping the faith and continuing down the path God is paving for me.

Today was a good day for networking. I met with someone today, thanks to a mutual friend, who has worked with a staffing agency and has lots of good contacts. After our meeting I felt pretty good about the possibility that she may be able to help me. I know God put her on my path for a reason.

Jacinda helped me out today as well. She mentioned Psalm 121 to me, so I had to stop what I was doing and read it. I’m so glad I did!

I raise my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep. The LORD protects you; the LORD is a shelter right by your side. The sun will not strike you by day, or the moon by night. The LORD will protect you from all harm; He will protect your life. The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and forever.

Psalm 121 (HCSB)

I believe God wanted me to read that Scripture today. He knew I needed to hear and remember that my help comes from Him alone, and that He will protect (and provide for) me and my family…now and forever. Praise God!!!

So that’s where I am today on the path God has for me. I’m not really much farther along the career path, but I’m growing in faith every day. I’ll continue to walk in faith and cannot wait to see where He leads me. I’m asking everyone once again to join me in praying. Please pray for doors of opportunity to be open to me. Pray that I will be patient as I wait on Him, and that I will faithfully walk down the path. Also, please pray for my family through this process.

God bless you all!
