There was a very interesting article posted today on World Net Daily. The article explained that the patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia is going to reveal to the world on Friday the actual Ark of the Covenant. Click here for the entire story.
A follow-up story was posted this evening, which features some very interesting comments from Bob Cornuke of the BASE Institute. Mr. Cornuke believes that there is a very good possibility that the Ark may in fact be sitting in St. Mary’s of Zion Church in Axum, Ethiopia, and that what is to be revealed Friday may be the actual relic from the Bible.
Graham Hancock, in his book The Sign and the Seal: The Quest for the Lost Ark of the Covenant, lays out historical evidence that would also support the Ark’s resting place as Axum. There is far too much contained in that book to go into detail here, but I would recommend checking it out. It is a very interesting read.
So, I await tomorrow’s unveiling by the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia. Do they really have the true Ark of the Covenant? If so, will what they reveal be that true relic or simply one of the many replicas found in Ethiopia? Based on evidence I have read and see in documentaries, I believe that what the Ethiopians have in Axum could very well be the Biblical Ark of the Covenant. We shall see.
