I love Psalm 150. It reads…
Praise God in His sanctuary.
Praise Him in His mighty heavens.
Praise Him for His powerful acts;
praise Him for His abundant greatness.
Praise Him with trumpet blasts;
praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with tambourine and dance;
praise Him with flute and strings.
Praise Him with resounding cymbals;
praise Him with clashing cymbals.
Let everything that breathes praise the LORD
Tonight and tomorrow night, the ClearView Worship Ministry has the opportunity to praise Him with music. Our church is so blessed with talented musicians and singers, and I count myself lucky to be a part of the Worship Ministry. It is such a blessing to lead alongside such an awesome group of folks!
My prayer as we approach the performances this weekend, is that the congregation will see beyond the singers and musicians. May we present the music in such a way that it directs the audience’s focus to God. I pray that God will open our hearts and that the power of the Holy Spirit will fill the worship center so He will receive the honor and the glory!
The last song we perform sums it up perfectly.
Not unto us, Oh Lord.
But unto Your name all honor and glory
Unto Your name all wisdom and strength
Unto Your name power and mercy
Unto Your name all praise.
Not unto us, but unto Your name Oh Lord.
