Yesterday we celebrated the most glorious event in history…the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Easter is a great time to reflect on the cross and its meaning. But, my thoughts today, the day after Easter, are still on the cross and the sacrifice that was made. We, as followers of Christ, should reflect on the events of Holy Week and Easter more than just once a year. Without those events our whole belief system is shattered. Christianity does not exist without the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. There is a great song that reminds me of this. The chorus says this:
May we never forget, the cross and the blood
The price that was paid so that we might live
May we never forget, the cost of His love
He’ll never forsake us, He’ll always forgive
May we never forget
That’s my prayer following Easter. May I never forget what Jesus did for me on the cross for me, and may I worship daily as if were Easter Sunday.
