I’ve heard it said many times at church that it is important to get plugged into a small group. How true this is. I am blessed to be a part of an awesome group of Christian friends (The Real World) at church. Our fellowship and study time together each Sunday is always memorable. I am thankful for each person in our class. I’m also blessed with the honor of ministering to them as the class deacon. I have had the opportunity to get to know everyone much more deeply through this role. I love my Sunday School class!
I also think it is important to have other small groups with which you can connect. Every Wednesday at my office a group of 5-6 meet for a weekly Bible study. We are currently doing a study on Proverbs. This is a great time each week when we can get away from the stress of work and just focus on God’s Word and life. We share various thoughts and ideas on Scripture, as well as the stuff that we have going on in our lives. I have developed some very meaningful friendships through this little group, and am thankful for each of them.
If you’re not a part of a Sunday School class or Bible study group that meets regularly I strongly encourage you to find a place to plug in. You are sure to be blessed through that group.
